Pressure Balance Line Valve Cleaning
5.7 Cleaning the Valve of the Pressure Balance Line
Observe all safety information provided in Section 5.1
Remove the screws and take off the cover (12/1) with O-ring (12/2)
Take out the spring (12/4)
Remove the valve disk (12/6) with O-rings (12/5) and (12/7)
Check if the bushing (12/3) is damaged and replace if necessary
Clean all parts or replace them if necessary
Reassemble in the reverse sequence
Check the O-rings for leak-tightness and replace if found faulty
Fan Cowl and the Cooling Fins Cleaning
5.4 Cleaning the Fan Cowl and the Cooling Fins
Ensure all safety information from Section 5.1 is observed
Inspect the slits in the fan cowl for contamination
Inspect the fins on the motor and the pump for contamination
Clean the grid of the fan cowl with a clean brush
Remove any coarse dirt from the fins on the motor and the pump

5.2 Oil Change/Gear Box
Safety Precautions
Use the oil-drain facility for safety and simplicity
Unscrew the oil-drain screws (11/2) or (11/1) and the oil-fill screw (11/4) to drain the oil
Clean the sealing surface and reinstall the oil-drain screw using a gasket in perfect condition
Wipe off any oil residues from the casing
Fill in new oil
Clean the oil-fill port and reinstall the screw (11/5) using a gasket in perfect condition
Ensure the oil-fill port is sealed air-tight
Gear Box Oil Level Check

Check the oil level and condition in the oil level glass and oiler
Correct oil level and condition as required
Is the oil light-brown?
If the oil is dark, note potential early ageing due to high temperatures

Check oil level at vertical flow (center of oil-level glass when pump is not running)
Check oil level at horizontal flow (6 mm above center of oil-level glass)
Ensure oil level is not too low or too high to avoid lubrication issues
3000 Hourly Shaft Seal Housing Oil Change
5.3 Oil change/shaft seal housing
Observe all safety information provided in Section 5.1
Unscrew the oil-drain screw (10/3) under the shaft seal housing and drain out the oil
Screw in the oil-drain screw using a gasket in perfect condition
Fill in fresh oil at the oiler (10/1)
Is the oil level for the shaft seal housing visible in the oiler?
Maximum level
Select the current state of the pump
Is the oil level at 1/2 of the height of the oiler when the pump is warm or 1/3 when cold?
