Cab Maintenance Position

WARNING Position the machine on a firm, level surface before tilting the cab. The cab must be fully raised and locked in position before attempting any service procedure.

If you raise the cab/canopy to get access for maintenance you must install the cab/canopy maintenance strut.

The lift arm must be in maintenance position (lift arm raised) before tilting the cab/canopy.

Before installing the lift arm maintenance strut remove any load on the forks and empty shovels or attachments.

Remove the shovel or attachment.

Park the machine on level, solid ground.

Install the lift arm maintenance strut.

Stop the engine and remove the ignition key. If the keyless ignition option is installed stop the engine and wait Duration: 15s

Remove the two rear mounting nuts and compression plates that secure the cab/canopy.

Raise the lift arm to take the weight off the strut

Stop the engine and remove the ignition key

Remove the strut

Secure the strut in its stowage position

Lower the lift arm to the ground

Lift Arm Installation

Remove the shovel or attachment

Check mark

Park the machine on level, solid ground and stop the engine

Remove the strut from its stowage position

Check mark

Raise the lift arm just far enough to install the strut

Check mark

Stop the engine and remove the ignition key

Check mark

Place the strut around the lift ram piston rod and secure it in position with the strap

Lower the lift arm carefully onto the strut

Check mark

Disconnect the battery to prevent accidental operation of the engine

Check mark

If necessary, put blocks against the two sides of the wheels before you get below the machine
