6 Monthly / 4000 Hourly Air Compressor Maintenance
Clean - Cooler cores
Clean cooler cores if discharge air temperature is excessive or if unit shutdown occurs on high air temperature.
Ensure that the compressor is isolated from the compressed air system by closing the isolation valve and venting pressure from the drip leg.
Ensure that the main power disconnect switch is locked open and tagged.
Tools Required
■ Screwdriver
■ Wrench set
■ Air hose equipped with approved O.S.H.A. nozzle.
On units sold outside the U.S.A. consult local codes.
2 Yearly / 8000 Hourly Ultra Coolant Replacement
Replace - Ultra Coolant
In very clean operating environments and where inlet filter is changed at the above prescribed intervals.
In extremely dirty environments change coolant, filters, and separator elements more frequently.
■ SSR Ultra Coolant (Standard Factory Fill)
■ SSR H1-F Food Grade (Optional)
SSR Ultra Coolant is a polyglycol base coolant. Change Ultra Coolant after every 8000 hours or every two years, whichever comes first.
SSR Food Grade Coolant is a polyalphaolefin base coolant. Change after every 1000 hours or every 6 months whichever comes first. Do not operate unit beyond this 1000 hour coolant change interval, as coolant degradation will occur.
Items Required
In addition to the tools normally found in any reasonably equipped serviceman’s toolbox, the following items should be available at the work site:
6 Monthly / 2000 Hourly Coolant Filter Replacement
Warning: This procedure should be performed in a clean environment and requires trained personnel with PPE!
Is the operating environment extremely dirty?
If yes, change coolant, filters, and separator elements more frequently.
Has the machine been operated for 150 hours?
If yes, proceed with the coolant filter replacement.
Has the machine been operated for 2000 hours?
If yes, proceed with the coolant filter replacement.
Is the coolant being changed?
If yes, proceed with the coolant filter replacement.
1 Weekly Air Compressor Inspection
Inspect Coolant level
Discharge temperature (air)
Inspect Separator element differential
Inspect Air filter Delta P (at full load)

Initial 150 Hours Coolant Filter Replacement
Warning: This procedure should be performed by trained personnel only.
Is the operating environment clean?
Is the inlet filter changed at prescribed intervals?
Is the operating environment extremely dirty?
Enter the current hours of operation
If the operating environment is dirty, change the coolant, filters, and separator elements more frequently.
Use a suitable device and loosen the old element. Use drain pan to catch any leakage during removal. Discard old element.
Is the sealing surface of the filter clean?
Remove the replacement element from its protective package. Apply a small amount of clean lubricant on the rubber seal and install the element.
