Turn off electrical supply to the unit

Turn off gas supply to the unit

Disconnect the union between manifold and gas valve

Remove burner manifold and burner assembly

Inspect orifices and burners for debris

Clean orifices and burners as necessary, avoiding hard or sharp instruments

Measure the motor’s voltage, amps and RPM

Inspect units for moisture or dirt accumulations

Describe the source of moisture or dirt, if found

Was the source of moisture or dirt eliminated?

Are there any parts rubbing when the fan wheel is rotated?

Is there any paint deterioration?

Lock-out the gas supply to the unit

Lock-out the electrical power to the unit

Filter Cleaning and Replacement

Identify the type of filters installed

Reinstall filters with correct airflow direction

Ensure replacement filters are from the same manufacturer and size as original

Wash filters in warm soapy water

Lock-out the gas supply to the unit

Lock-out the electrical power to the unit

Clean the exterior surfaces of the motor

Ensure no water or solvents enter the motor or bearings

Check if the motor has grease fittings

Grease the motor according to manufacturer's recommendations
