Close valves on the supply and return lines

Open drain valves and/or drain plug. Remove vent plug to allow coil to drain faster

Connect a blower to the caps. Do not connect the blower to the air vent or drain plug

Close the vent plug on the header that the blower is connected to. Open the drain valve or cap on the other header

Did the mirror fog up when placed at discharge?

Repeat procedure until no fog appears on the mirror

After drying the coil, wait a few minutes then repeat Step #5

Lock-out the gas supply to the unit

Lock-out the electrical power to the unit

Check the V-belt drive for the following issues

Measure the deflection in the belt

Is the belt tension within the normal range?

Is the drive alignment correct using a straight edge across both sheaves?

Measure the motor’s voltage, amps and RPM

Ensure the motor is powered off and disconnected from the power source

Gather necessary cleaning materials (cloth, brush, etc.)

Clean the exterior surfaces of the motor to remove dust and grease build-up

Ensure no water or solvents have entered the motor or bearings

Verify that the motor housing is free of dust and grease

Confirm that the motor bearings have not been sprayed with water, steam, or solvents

Verify all required parts and correct quantity received

Inspect interior of unit cabinet for shipped loose items

Report any missing items to local representative

Confirm shipment limited to items on the bill of lading

Maintain even temperatures to prevent condensation

Remove accumulations of dirt, water, ice, or snow and wipe dry
