Check for blockage in the flue pipe system.

Check for leakage in the flue pipe system.

Inspect the outside termination of the flue pipe.

Inspect connections at and internal to the furnace.

Check for corrosion within the heat exchanger passageways.

Check for buildup within the heat exchanger passageways.

Turn OFF electrical power to furnace

Remove filter(s) from the following locations

Replace filter(s) by reversing the procedure for removal

Turn ON electrical power to furnace

Was the filter replaced with the same type and size?

Turn OFF the electrical power and gas supply to the furnace.

Disconnect the gas line and remove the burner/manifold assembly by removing the screws securing the assembly to the partition panel.

Disconnect the flue pipe system from the induced draft blower.

Remove the induced draft blower and the drain and pressure tap hoses from the recuperator coil front cover.

Remove the recuperator coil front cover to expose the coil tubes and turbulators.

Remove the recuperator coil turbulators individually by slowly pulling each turbulator forward firmly.

Turn on the furnace at the thermostat

Allow several minutes for flames to stabilize

Are there any orange tips on the flames?

Are there any yellow tips on the flames?

Do flames extend directly outward from the burners?

Do flames curl, float, or lift off?
