Ensure the motor is powered off and disconnected from the power source

Check for dust and grease build-up on the motor housing

Clean the exterior surfaces of the motor housing using a dry cloth or brush

Ensure no water or solvents enter the motor or bearings during cleaning

Verify that the motor housing is free of dust and grease

Lock-out the gas supply to the unit

Lock-out the electrical power to the unit

Brush the media lightly with a soft bristle brush while flushing with water

Is there a large amount of mineral build-up?

Action for large mineral build-up

Reinstallation of Evaporative Media

Is the evaporative media installed correctly?

Verify all required parts and correct quantity received

Are all items on the bill of lading accounted for?

Report any shortages to local representative

Inspect interior of unit cabinet for any shipped loose items

Are there any loose items inside the unit cabinet?

Are temperatures maintained evenly to prevent condensation?

Disconnect and lock-out all power and gas

Check for foreign objects in housing, fan, and ductwork

Turn off electrical supply to the unit

Turn off gas supply to the unit

Disconnect the union between manifold and gas valve

Remove burner manifold and burner assembly

Inspect and clean orifices and burners as necessary

Avoid using hard or sharp instruments to prevent damage
