Reinstallation of Evaporative Media

Ensure the evaporative media is installed correctly

Lock-out the gas supply to the unit

Lock-out the electrical power to the unit

Check for oil accumulation on the wheel

Check for dust accumulation on the wheel

Clean oil and dust from the wheel

Tug test all internal electrical connections to ensure no loose connections occurred during shipment.

Does the supplied voltage, hertz, and phase match the unit and motor(s) nameplate information?

Is the fan rotating in the correct direction?

Check for unusual noise, vibration or overheating of the bearings.

Lock-out the gas supply to the unit

Lock-out the electrical power to the unit

Refer to the manual for the recommended lubrication schedule based on fan RPM and bearing bore size

Is the operation continuous for 24 hours?

Enter the adjusted lubrication interval (in months)

Lock-out the gas and electrical power

Check V-belt drive for wear, tension, alignment, and dirt accumulation

Measure the deflection in the belt

Check alignment using a straight edge across both sheaves

Account for differences in sheave width

Check for excessive bearing loads due to high belt tension or drive misalignment

Check for excessive squealing, belt flutter, slippage, and overheated sheaves due to low belt tension

Ensure belts are not pried on or off the sheave

Loosen belt tension to remove belts by lifting
