Inspect the wheel for cleanliness

Check for wear on the following components

Disassemble the wheel for cleaning if necessary

Clean the wheel thoroughly to remove any dirt, dust, smoke residue, or oily film

Is the wheel media free from blockages?

Remove wheel segments from the wheel cassette to avoid splashing liquids inside the cabinet.

Is the energy wheel excessively dirty?

Select the cleaning method to be used

Avoid using aggressive organic solvents such as acetone.

Soak wheel segments overnight if stubborn dirt or accumulations are present.

Shake excess water from the wheel or segments.

Manual Check of Backdraft Dampers

Check if backdraft damper blades open freely by hand

Motorized Dampers Functionality Test

Apply power to motorized dampers

Verify actuator opens and closes the damper as designed

Wheel and Housing Inspection and Cleaning

Inspect fan impeller for fatigue, corrosion, or wear

Inspect fan housing for fatigue, corrosion, or wear

Clean the wheel and housing to remove oil and dust accumulation

Check all fasteners, set screws, and locking collars for tightness on the following components

Is the maintenance program up to date?

Describe any issues found during maintenance

Adjust replacement schedule for MERV 13 and MERV 14 filters as needed
