Disconnect all electrical power to the fan and secure to the 'off' position

Make the unit non-functional by removing fuses and locking off the disconnect

Clean exterior surfaces of the motor

Was the cleaning performed evenly to avoid out of balance condition?

Inspect the motor for any signs of damage or wear after cleaning

Is the motor functioning properly after reassembly and power restoration?

Inspect and adjust as necessary

Adjust belt tension after the first 24-48 hours of operation

Disconnect all electrical power to the fan and secure to the 'off' position.

Ensure the unit is made non-functional by removing fuses and locking off the disconnect.

Check for oil and dust accumulation on the wheel and housing.

Clean the wheel and housing evenly to prevent imbalance and vibration.

Is the wheel free from oil and dust after cleaning?

Is the fan operating smoothly without vibration?

Loosen the setscrew holding the bushing and shaft key in place, if present.

Loosen and remove the socket head cap screws fastening the bushing to the hub.

Select the mounting type for socket head cap screws installation

Tighten the socket head cap screws an eighth of a turn at a time, alternating until the hub comes loose from the bushing.

Clean all surfaces of hub and bushing to remove any oil or residue.

Select the mounting style and perform the corresponding actions

Align the unthreaded holes of the hub with the threaded holes of the tapered bushing (Standard) or vice versa (Reverse).

Is the motor compatible with the supply voltage?

Route electrical supply through conduit chase between mounting plate and motor compartment

Does the wiring conform to local and national codes?

Ensure no bending or distortion of fan parts
