Is the storage environment humid, dusty, or corrosive?

Rotate the fan and purge the bearings if the environment is humid, dusty, or corrosive

Ensure fan is stored properly to avoid warranty voidance

Acknowledge responsibility for fan and accessories during storage

Ensure the unit is attached to the designed system

Verify system static pressure is adequate

Is the wheel rotation in the same direction as the airflow at the outlet?

Does the wheel rotation conform to the rotation decal affixed to the unit?

Was the wheel rotation correct?

Is the wheel free from grease and dirt accumulation?

Check the tightness of all fasteners

Ensure the fan is turned off and locked out before starting lubrication

Verify the ambient temperature is within the normal operating range (32°F to 200°F)

Is the shaft rotating during lubrication?

Enter the current housing temperature (°F)

Select the conditions present during lubrication

Add lubricant until clean grease is seen purging from the bearing

Enter the number of grease shots applied if bearing is not visible

Disconnect and secure to the OFF position all electrical power to the fan

Confirm that building supply voltage matches the voltage for which the unit is wired

Check all piping and wiring penetrations for water tightness

Rotate the fan wheel manually to ensure it is free to operate and remove any dirt or debris

Check the fan bearing setscrews for tightness

Check alignment of sheaves and V-belts

Inspect all fasteners to ensure none have loosened during shipment
