Ensure all parts are thoroughly cleaned and inspected

Replace any worn or corroded parts with new genuine Flowserve parts

Use only non-flammable, non-contaminated cleaning fluids that comply with plant safety and environmental guidelines

Verify the following conditions before lubrication

Enter the amount of grease for Intermediate Bearings [3020.1] in grams

Enter the amount of grease for Bottom Bearing [3020.2] in grams

Is the lubrication completed successfully?

Ensure proper lubrication to prevent bearing failures, pump seizures, and pump failure.

Verify impeller balance requirements

Enter the measured unbalance (g·mm/kg)

Is the unbalance within acceptable limits for the given speed?

Was the impeller balanced to ISO 1940 Grade 6.3 tolerance criteria?

6.7.2 Pump Disassembly — Thrust Bearing Removal

Use an arbor or hydraulic press to remove the bearings from the adjusting sleeve

Apply even pressure to the inner bearing race only

Note any damage observed during removal

6.9.4 Ball Bearing/Adjusting Sleeve Assembly

Ensure clean environment for bearing mounting

Remove bearings from protective packaging immediately before assembly

Verify initial lubrication amounts before first start

Are the new bearings already lubricated?

Pack new bearings with grease if not lubricated

Lubricate the housing as described

Ensure not to overfill the motor or pump thrust bearings with grease
