Verify impeller balance requirement

Check if impeller was trimmed by customer

Determine maximum acceptable unbalance based on RPM

Identify impeller type for balance method

Confirm balancing to ISO 1940 Grade 6.3 tolerance criteria

Record any deviations from standard balancing procedure

Review inspection results with team

2.4.2 Long term storage and packaging

Ensure all packaging components are in place

Is the assembly hermetically sealed from the atmosphere?

Is the packaging intact and undamaged?

Rotate the pump shaft approximately 10 revolutions

Record any issues or observations during the inspection

Close control valve in discharge line

Lock out power supply to driver

Disconnect all electrical connections

Close all valves on auxiliary equipment and piping then disconnect all auxiliary piping

Disconnect discharge piping from pump

Remove coupling guard and coupling halves

5.1 Pre-commissioning procedure

Check that all pre-commissioning steps are completed

Rotate the shaft by hand to ensure all rotating parts move freely and there are no foreign objects in the pump casing

Start and regulate all flush lines

Start the driver (electric motor)

Slowly open the discharge valve until the desired flow is reached

Check all joints and mechanical seal for leakage

Re-grease driver bearings before starting the pump

Consult the manufacturer's directions for lubricating instructions

Select the recommended grease for motor
