Verify the following conditions before lubrication

Enter the amount of grease for Intermediate Bearings [3020.1] in grams

Enter the amount of grease for Bottom Bearing [3020.2] in grams

Ensure proper lubrication to prevent bearing failures, pump seizures, and pump failure

Reattach strainer to suction flange of the casing if it was removed for cleaning or replacement

Ensure strainer does not need removal unless for cleaning or replacement

Check for plugged impeller, strainer, or casing due to product or large solids

Verify packing sizes for each group

Confirm packing arrangement is 2-C-3 for all groups

Install one ring of packing at a time, ensuring it is pushed well into place

Install two rings of packing, then the seal cage, followed by additional rings until the box is filled

Ensure joints of succeeding rings are staggered

Align the taped hole in the stuffing box with the seal cage when packing is compressed

Draw up the nuts on the gland evenly finger tight after the last ring is in place

Save additional packing rings for future use

Verify impeller balance requirements

Enter maximum acceptable unbalance for up to 1800 rpm (g·mm/kg)

Enter maximum acceptable unbalance for above 1800 rpm (g·mm/kg)

Is the impeller balanced to ISO 1940 Grade 6.3 tolerance criteria?

Is the impeller clearance within nominal range?

Adjust impeller clearance if necessary

Ensure seal is not set during adjustment
