Flowserve Pump MK3 HSI 1.5×1-6

Store the pump in a clean, dry location away from vibration.

Leave flange covers in place to keep dirt and other foreign material out of pump casing.

Turn the pump shaft at regular intervals to prevent brinelling of the bearings and the seal faces, if fitted, from sticking.

Is the pump stored for more than 6 months?

Ensure protection of the pump after unpacking.

Has oil been added to the bearing housing?

Are inhibitor oils and greases used if units are idle for extended periods after addition of lubricants?

Rotate the pump shaft approximately 10 revolutions every three months.

Pre-Lubrication Safety Measures

Stop the pump and lock the motor

Measure the external housing temperature

Is the external housing temperature within the safe range (below 94°C/200°F)?

Remove the pipe plug from bearing locations

Enter the amount of grease for Group 2 inboard bearing

Ensure all parts are thoroughly cleaned and inspected

Use new bearings, O-rings, gaskets, and lip seals

List any parts showing wear or corrosion that were replaced

Measure shaft runout (should be 0.025 mm or less)

Is radial deflection within acceptable limits (0.05 mm or less)?

Measure axial shaft movement (endplay) on Durco pump (should be 0.03 mm or less)

Measure seal chamber face squareness run-out (should be less than 0.08 mm)

Measure seal chamber register concentricity (should be less than 0.13 mm)

Is the bearing housing operating temperature under 71°C (160°F)?

Is mineral oil lubricant being used?

Enter the maximum external housing temperature observed

Enter the maximum temperature the bearing was exposed to
