Turn off and lock out power to the motor.

Remove the conduit box cover.

Disconnect the power leads from the motor leads.

Support the motor and then remove the four screws that hold the motor to the bearing assembly.

On pumps with spring type couplers, remove the motor side coupler half from the motor shaft.

Remove the eight capscrews that hold the bearing assembly or adapter ring to the volute.

Remove the bearing assembly.

Impeller Removal

Check mark

Insert a long punch between the impeller vanes or grasp the impeller with a strap wrench to prevent the impeller from turning.

Remove the impeller nut, lockwasher, impeller, and adapter ring.

Seal Parts and Coverplate Removal

Select the type of bearing assembly material

Elastomeric Type Coupler and Motor Reinstallation

Position the coupler half on the pump shaft

Select the pump shaft type and coupler size

Tighten the setscrew over the dimple if applicable

Check mark

Tighten the other setscrew if there is one

Check mark

Slide the coupler half on the shaft if keyed and using size 3J coupler

Check mark

Slide the coupler half onto the shaft with 0.25 in. extension if using size 4J coupler

Check mark

Slide the coupler half flush with the flange face if using size 5J coupler

Check mark

Tighten the setscrews if applicable

Position the coupler half on the motor shaft
