Bearing Assembly and Impeller Reinstallation

Wipe the bearing bores clean and remove any rust or scale deposits with a fine emery cloth.

Insert the new wave spring into the rear bearing bore.

Insert the shaft assembly into the housing and then install and tighten the retaining screws.

For cast iron bearing assemblies, install the coverplate on the housing.

If used, install the adapter ring and gasket on the new bearing assembly.

If dimpled, ensure setscrew is positioned over the dimple and tightened

If keyed with size 3J, slide coupler half on the shaft without tightening setscrew

If keyed with size 4J, ensure shaft extends 0.25 in. past flange face and tighten setscrews

If keyed with size 5J, ensure shaft is flush with flange face and tighten setscrews

Position the coupler half on the motor shaft

Select the motor shaft type

If dimpled, ensure setscrew is positioned over the dimple and tightened
