8.2.1 Maintenance schedule for normal operation

Check that all the parts are in place

Inspect the entire machine for any visible damage or wear

Have all necessary parts been replaced?

Ensure Manufacturer's customer service division is present

Is replacement of any hose line necessary?

Replace hose lines if necessary

Have all hose lines been replaced within the last 6 years?

Ensure service personnel are present

Performing checks after commissioning

Check intake pressure valve for correct operation

Check oil level and correct if necessary

Re-tighten screws after machine has cooled down

Check and align the sheaves, correct if necessary

Check condition of the belts, change if necessary, establish cause

Check control system, fault transmitter, pressure and temperature sensors for correct operation

Ensure motor overload protection is connected and active

Check for accumulation of preservative oil and remove if necessary

Check for damage and stability of the belt guard

Remove dirt from the belt guard

Is the belt guard fastener tight?

Is there any lubricant bleeding out of the drive motor?

Remove any dirt from the outer belt guard

Is the belt guard sufficiently stable and undamaged?

Avoid using high pressure cleaners, steam jet pumps, grease removal agents, thinners, compressed air etc. as cleaning methods

Clean dust and dirt with suitable cloths

Clean components susceptible to scratches, display units and touch panels of control systems, gauges etc. with a soft, wet towel

Remove all cleaning agents from the immediate vicinity of the machine before commissioning

Dispose of cloths in an environmentally-friendly way
