Back Broom Housing Skirt Replacement

Raise the hopper and install the hopper safety support

Open the broom access door and remove the broom from the machine

Skirt Mounting Bolt Orientation

If the heads of the skirt mounting bolts face toward the front of the machine, remove the bolts, strap and skirt

If the heads of the skirt mounting bolts face toward the back of the machine, reach under the skirt to remove the bolts

Install the new skirt so the strap and bolt heads face toward the front of the machine

Reassemble the machine by following the steps in reverse order

Floor Sweeper Dust Control Filter Cleaning

Wear a protective mask to prevent inhaling of dust while servicing the filter.

Wear eye protection while servicing the filter.

Use a vacuum cleaner to remove as much dirt as possible from the filter.

Blow compressed air (100 PSI maximum pressure) into the clean side of the filter (in the opposite direction of normal air flow).

Is there still hardened dirt built-up in the filter?

Soak the filter in warm water for 15 minutes if there is still hardened dirt.

Rinse the filter under a gentle stream of water (40 PSI maximum pressure).

Inspect the squeegee blades

Lower the squeegee and loosen the (4) “A” bolts

Check mark

Lift the squeegee by hand to ensure blades touch the floor equally

Check mark

Tighten the (4) “A” bolts

Blade Angle Adjustment

Check mark

Note the position of the “B” caster wheel brackets in relation to squeegee mount “C”

Check mark

Loosen the “D” bolts

Check mark

Move the casters up or down by 1/8 inch (3 mm) to adjust the blade angle

Floor Sweeper Reverse Switch Adjustment

Start the engine and ensure the machine does not move with the drive pedal in neutral

Check mark

Stop the engine and open the engine cover

Check mark

Check the reverse switch click when lever is moved to the right of neutral

Check mark

If the switch does not click, loosen the switch mounting screws and reposition the switch

Start the engine and check the switch adjustment

Does the backup alarm sound only when the pedal is moved into reverse?
