Start the engine and ensure the machine does not move with the drive pedal in neutral

Stop the engine and open the engine cover

Adjust the reverse switch if it does not click when lever is moved to the right of neutral

Grasp the lever on the side of the propulsion pump and push it to the right

Does the reverse switch click immediately when the lever is moved to the right of neutral?

Loosen the switch mounting screws and reposition the switch if necessary

Start the engine and check the switch adjustment

Does the backup alarm sound only when the pedal is moved into reverse?

Drain cooling system using drain valve 'A'

Disconnect the electrical connector and the vacuum hose from Ignition controller 'B'

Disconnect hose 'C' from the water pump

Disconnect hose 'D' from the top of the radiator

Remove the 'E' bolts from grill panel 'F'

Pull the back side of the radiator away from the machine and backward to work the radiator assembly out of the machine

Loosen the bolts holding bearing block 'G'

Loosen the lock nut on bolt 'H' and turn the bolt to release tension on the 'J' impeller belts

Replace the 'J' impeller belts as a matched set only

Start the engine and lower the squeegee

Stop the engine and remove the squeegee from the machine

Ensure both squeegee mount caster wheels are on the floor

Measure the distance between the top of sleeve 'B' and the bottom of squeegee lift bar 'A'

Is the measurement greater than 1-1/2 inch (37 mm)?

Move the down limit switch to the left by 1/4 inch to decrease 'C' by 1/2 inch

Initial Inspection and Preparation

Inspect the belt between the lower and upper impeller shafts

Upper Impeller Belt Replacement

Drain the cooling system using drain valve 'A'

Disconnect the electrical connector and vacuum hose from ignition controller 'B'

Disconnect hose 'C' from the water pump

Disconnect hose 'D' from the top of the radiator
