1500 Hourly Floor Sweeper Hydraulic Oil Testing
Prepare for hydraulic oil testing
Open the engine cover, disconnect the battery terminals and remove the battery from the machine
Position a large oil container (not more than 24 inches high) against or just below the machine’s rear bumper, behind the battery tray
Loosen and remove fittings
Loosen fittings 'A', 'B' and 'C'
Remove fitting 'A' from the pump and quickly move the hose against the top of the rear bumper
Reposition the fittings on the hose so the oil drains neatly into the drain container(s)
If changing the hydraulic oil
Flush all contamination out of the tank
Floor Sweeper Lower Impeller Belt, Shaft or Bearing Replacement
Preparation
Drain cooling system using drain valve 'A'
Disconnect the electrical connector and the vacuum hose from Ignition controller 'B'
Disconnect hose 'C' from the water pump
Disconnect hose 'D' from the top of the radiator
Radiator and Bearing Block Removal
Remove the 'E' bolts from grill panel 'F'
Pull the back side of the radiator away from the machine and backward to work the radiator assembly out of the machine
Loosen the bolts holding bearing block 'G'
Upper Impeller Belt Maintenance
Initial Inspection and Preparation
Inspect the belt between the lower and upper impeller shafts
Is belt tension adequate?
Is belt replacement necessary?
Upper Impeller Belt Replacement
Drain the cooling system using drain valve 'A'
Disconnect the electrical connector and vacuum hose from ignition controller 'B'
Disconnect hose 'C' from the water pump
Disconnect hose 'D' from the top of the radiator
Floor Sweeper Vacuum System Inspection
Inspect hoses for damage
Cleaning and debris removal
Park the machine outside or near a floor drain
Open the engine cover
Loosen the clamp holding the squeegee hose onto the recovery tank
Pull the hose off the tank
Pour water down the hose to back-flush the squeegee hose
Reach into the recovery tank inlet tube and remove any built-up dirt
Remove the cover from the impeller muffler and remove any debris
30 Hourly Main Broom Height Adjustment
Drive the machine to an area with a level floor and set the parking brake
With the engine still running, put the broom switch in the ON position and the main broom lever in the SWEEP position
Let the main broom run for about 1 minute to polish a strip on the floor
Release the parking brake and move the machine to make the polished strip visible
Measure the width of the polished strip on the floor
Is the polished strip 2-1/2 inches (6.3 cm) wide?
Remove the panel from the left side of the operator’s compartment to access the broom adjustment knob
Adjust the broom adjustment knob
Turn the broom adjustment knob clockwise to make the polished strip wider
