5.2 Estimate zinc anode replacement intervals

Remove, weigh, and reinstall one or more of the exterior zinc anodes before starting up the pump

After two months, remove and weigh the same zinc anode or anodes again

Enter the lapsed time in days between the initial and second weighing

Enter the anode weight loss in grams

Calculate the anode consumption rate (days/gram)

Calculate future replacement intervals based on the selected fraction of zinc remaining (recommended 0.25–0.50)

Check for water in the oil housing

Is there too much water in the oil?

Verify replacement of key components

Replace support and main bearings

Check for liquid in the stator housing

Check the following components if liquid was found
