Ensure the following items are available

Ensure the fan is turned off and locked out for safety

Clean the grease fitting to prevent contamination

Apply the recommended amount of grease

Was the shaft rotated monthly during storage?

Wipe off any excess grease from the bearing housing

Disconnect power before servicing pump

Snap the plastic grid off the bottom of the pump

Remove old debris from the reservoir

Coat painted galvanized steel reservoirs with high quality sub-sealer

Remove pad frame from cabinet by lifting from the bottom edge and pulling outward, then letting it drop.

Is it necessary to wash dirt and scale from pad frame with a mild detergent?

Wash dirt and scale from pad frame with a mild detergent if necessary.

Ensure the fan is turned off and locked out before starting lubrication.

Gather necessary tools and materials, including high quality NLGI No. 2 or 3 multipurpose ball bearing grease.

Enter the amount of grease to be applied (in grams).

Lubricate the bearings prior to extended shutdown or storage.

Rotate shaft monthly to aid corrosion protection.

Is the pH of the water between 6 and 8?

Adjust the flow rate of the bleed-off system

Automatic Distributor Flush System Maintenance

Adjust the timer for the flush valve

Ensure the timer is wired in series with the pump

Dismantle and clean the flush valve
