Measure belt movement when pressed at mid-span

Is the belt tension within the acceptable range?

Is the new belt tighter than a used belt?

Ensure the following alignments

Are the sheaves aligned properly to keep the belt straight?

Adjust belt tension if necessary

Ensure you have the recommended grease

Clean the area around the grease fittings to prevent contamination.

Apply the correct amount of grease based on NEMA Frame size.

Is the grease applied evenly and without excess?

Check for any grease leakage around the bearings.

Is the motor operating smoothly after lubrication?

Is there significant scale build-up on the pads?

Are the pads scaled and plugged?

Hose down pads to clean away dirt and salt particles

Are the pads too blocked, reducing cooling efficiency and air delivery?

Remove outer access panels and internal media cover plate

Disconnect power before servicing pump

Snap the plastic grid off the bottom of the pump

Remove old debris from the reservoir

Coat painted galvanized steel reservoirs with high quality sub-sealer

Turn off the water supply to the cooler

Unscrew and remove the standpipe to allow the water to drain down

Ensure no water is left standing in the unit for prolonged periods

Apply a coat of high quality sub-sealer to painted galvanized steel reservoirs

Gently hose stubborn deposits from the face of the evaporative media with fresh water

Run fresh water through the pump and water distribution system for 30 minutes

Ensure the fan/blower is turned off while flushing the system
