Ensure the following greases are available

Verify motor is turned off and locked out for safety

Record the NEMA Frame size of the motor

Is the NEMA Frame size between 210 to 280?

Apply high grade ball bearing grease to the motor bearings

Was the lubrication process completed successfully?

Ensure the following items are available

Ensure the fan is turned off and locked out for safety

Clean the grease fitting to prevent contamination

Apply the recommended amount of grease (in grams)

Was the shaft rotated after lubrication?

Check for any signs of over greasing

Is there significant scale build-up on the pads?

Are the pads scaled and plugged?

Hose down pads to clean away dirt and salt particles

Are the pads too blocked, reducing cooling efficiency and air delivery?

Remove outer access panels and internal media cover plate

Turn off the water supply to the cooler

Unscrew and remove the standpipe to allow the water to drain down

Ensure no water is left standing in the unit for prolonged periods

Apply a coat of high quality sub-sealer to painted galvanized steel reservoirs

Gently hose stubborn deposits from the face of the evaporative media with fresh water

Manual Bleed System Maintenance

Is the pH of the water between 6 and 8?

Adjust the bleed-off flow rate while the pump is working

Discharge the bleed water directly into the overflow standpipe

Automatic Distributor Flush System Maintenance

Adjust the timer to increase/decrease the length of time the flush valve is open

Adjust the timer to change the period of time between flush cycles

Ensure the timer is wired in series with the pump
