Disconnect all electric power, including remote disconnects, before servicing.

Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures.

Verify that no power is present with a voltmeter.

Check fan wheel set screws whenever a component is removed or an adjustment is made.

Refer to Table 44 for recommendations and note any adjustments made.

Disconnect all electrical power to the unit

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Drain Pan Inspection and Cleaning

Check for evidence of standing water or condensate overflow

Identify and remedy the cause of standing water or overflow, if any

Disconnect all electrical power including remote disconnects

Discharge all energy storing devices such as capacitors

Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures

Is a qualified licensed electrician present for live electrical work?

Unit Inspection and Maintenance

Inspect the unit casing for chips and corrosion

Acknowledge understanding of safety warnings

Pre-maintenance Safety Procedures

Disconnect all electrical power including remote disconnects

Discharge all energy storing devices such as capacitors

Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures

Manually rotate the fan wheel to check for obstructions

Remove any obstructions and debris from the fan housing

Do not spray glass cleaner or any other solution directly on the sensor.

Apply glass cleaner to a soft, non-abrasive cloth.

Gently wipe the face of the sensor, including the buttons and LCD display.

Use a premoistened towelette designed for lens or screen cleaning, if preferred.

Avoid pressing the Occupied/Unoccupied buttons on the keypad.
