Observe LED5 on the receiver. Is it On solid green?

Verify that the receiver is properly grounded

Press the Test button on the sensor

Is LED5 On solid green indicating proper battery strength?

Check signal strength indicators

Do LED1 and LED3 illuminate in unison on both receiver and sensor?

Disconnect all electric power, including remote disconnects, before servicing.

Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures to ensure the power cannot be inadvertently energized.

Disconnect all electrical power to the unit.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Vacuum the section with a HEPA filter vacuum device.

Clean contaminated areas with a mild bleach and water solution or an EPA-approved sanitizer for HVAC use.

Ensure batteries are not recharged

Ensure sensor is not connected to a power supply

Ensure batteries are not installed backwards

Ensure batteries are not disassembled, charged, or exposed to water, fire, or high temperature

Ensure batteries are kept away from children

Confirm battery type and source

Disconnect all electrical power to the unit

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Mechanically remove microbial growth

Install a block-off to prevent spray from going into a dry section of the unit and/or system ductwork

Clean the contaminated area(s) with an EPA-approved sanitizer

Rinse the affected surfaces thoroughly with fresh water and a fresh sponge

Repeat cleaning and rinsing as necessary

Confirm the drain line is open following the cleaning process

Ensure no glass cleaner or solution is sprayed directly on the sensor

Apply glass cleaner to a soft, non-abrasive cloth

Gently wipe the sensor face, including buttons and LCD display

Use a premoistened towelette designed for lens or screen cleaning, if preferred

Avoid pressing Occupied/Unoccupied buttons on the WDS sensor
