Cover and Camera Assembly Removal

Remove the front cover assembly (3.2)

Remove the rear cover assembly (3.3)

Remove the camera assembly (3.14)

Remove the bowl lamp connectors from P1 and P2 of the fixation interconnect PCB

Remove the IR LED connectors from P3 and P4 of the fixation interconnect PCB

Remove the ribbon cable from P5 connector of the fixation interconnect PCB

Remove the projection assembly and install it on the projection mount tool (3.17).

Is the projection mount tool set up to match the diameter of the carriage rails (3/8")?

Carefully slide the X-axis turret motor belt off the large gear at the top of the turret.

Locate the hole in the casting from the top side of the assembly.

Remove the three screws holding the turret in place through the hole in the casting.

Ensure the loosened X-axis edge detector flag does not hit the edge detector and block turret rotation.

Carefully pull the turret out of its top bearing.

Verify external connections and power source

Document any operator questions/comments regarding instrument performance

Document any customer complaints noted during the PM or service call

Instrument Data and Lubrication

Obtain the Before instrument data as prescribed on the Light Intensity worksheets

Apply a very thin film of clock oil to the projection assembly rails

Exercise the F motor 20 times to distribute the oil on the rails

Remove the operator panel (3.4)

Remove the three M4 screws securing the chinrest switch assembly bracket

Remove the chinrest switch assembly

Remove the two M4 screws holding the IR Illumination Plug Bracket to the bowl

Rotate the IR Bowl Plug until its contoured tip is flush with the inner surface of the bowl before tightening the screw
