Ensure the tank is neither full nor empty

Confirm no movements in the tank

Select the Transmitter icon in the WinSetup workspace

Right-click and choose the Properties option

Enter a new value in the Calibration Distance field

Click the OK button to save changes

Is the power supply voltage between 100-240 VAC?

Is the frequency between 50-60 Hz?

Enter the power consumption in watts

Verify protective grounding of enclosure as per national regulations.

Note any special safety instructions provided with the Rex transmitter.

Measure the resistance between leads 3 and 4

Use a shielded twisted pair cable with an area of at least 0.50 mm2 for the TRL/2 bus

Ensure shielded cables are used to avoid crosstalk and other disturbances

Connect the field bus shield to ground at the FCU only

Contact Emerson Process Management/Rosemount Tank Gauging for further instructions if needed

Note the distance if there are two fieldbuses running in parallel

Ensure twisted and shielded single pair cable is used

Confirm minimum cross sectional area of cable

Connect shield and ground cable
