Motor Filter Inspection and Cleaning

Check the motor filter with each disposable dust bag change

Remove filter from inside bag compartment, at bottom

Shake filter to remove excess dust

Is further cleaning necessary by laundering with warm water?

Ensure the motor filter is completely dry before re-installing

Re-install the motor filter prior to next use

Is the motor filter properly in place?

Turn off the switch and unplug the electrical cord before replacing belt.

Ensure motor shaft is cool before proceeding.

Lower handle to floor to change belt.

Remove two screws to release hood and lift hood to expose belt and brushroll.

Lift left end of brushroll and pull out of base.

Clean debris from brushroll area.

Have a Phillips screwdriver available

Assemble the rear housing to the base using a long screw (FIG. 1)

Attach the tool caddy to the rear housing using 2 short screws (FIG. 2)

Attach the handle to the tool caddy using a long screw (FIG. 3)

Secure the hose assembly to the rear housing with 2 short screws (FIG. 4)

Thread the hose inside the lower hose retainer and attach it to the rear housing with a short screw (FIG. 5)

Remove hose from hose retainer on the base

Check suction at end of hose - is there little or no suction?

Check dust bag and empty if needed

Turn off the switch and unplug the electrical cord

Remove electrical cord from cord hooks

Disconnect the clear tube by unscrewing the 2 screws

Lift the clear tube away from cleaner

Contact customer service to replace light bulb

Lower handle and remove two screws from lens cover

Support socket with one hand and pull light bulb straight out to release

Place new light bulb into socket; push to secure
