Ensure the machine is powered off

Clean the sensor arm using compressed air

Inspect the sensor for any remaining residue

Remove dust particles from the print mechanics area using

Use a standard commercial neutral cleaner

Remove the mains power connecting line

Wait at least 3 minutes before unplugging the printhead cable

Pull out both plugs on the printhead [66]

Remove both wing bolts until the entire printhead can be removed from the pressure shaft

If the printhead is not at the limit stop on the side, mark the position on the axle in advance

Screw out the thumb screw [71A]

Take off the locking plate [71B]

Pull the deviator roller off its axle [72]

Ensure the machine is powered off

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Clean all parts in contact with the ribbon

Inspect the ribbon path for any residue or debris

Is the ribbon path clear of all debris and residue?
