Acknowledge understanding of safety precautions
Pre-Inspection
Disconnect all electrical power to the unit
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Drain Pan Inspection and Cleaning
Check for evidence of standing water or condensate overflow
Identify and remedy the cause of standing water or overflow, if any
Remove any standing water
Signal Strength Check
Setup
Power up a receiver with a 24 V transformer (user supplied)
Associate the sensor to a receiver of the same model intended for the job
Placement
Place the receiver at the desired location
Place or hold the sensor at the desired location
Testing Signal Strength
Press the Test button (S5) on the sensor
Observe the signal strength as indicated by LEDs and display

Acknowledge understanding of safety warnings
Safety Precautions
Disconnect all electrical power including remote disconnects
Discharge all energy storing devices such as capacitors
Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures

Unit Inspection and Maintenance
Inspect the unit casing for chips and corrosion
Signal Strength Testing
Initiate signal strength test by pressing the Test button on the sensor
Check signal strength indication on Models WZS
Observe LED1, LED2, and LED3 on the sensor
Observe LED1, LED2, and LED3 on the receiver
Check signal strength indication on Model WDS
Observe test symbols on the sensor display
Observe LED1, LED2, and LED3 on the receiver

Preparation
Ensure the following conditions are met before starting
Disconnect all electrical power to the unit
Disconnection
Disconnect piping from coil headers
Remove side panels
Is the opposite side panel removal necessary for sensor or screw access?
