Coil Disassembly
Preparation
Ensure the following conditions are met before starting
Is all electrical power disconnected from the unit?
Disconnection
Disconnect piping from coil headers
Remove coil and motor side panels
Is it necessary to remove the opposite side panel for sensor or screw access?
Sensor and Switch Disconnection
Disconnect the following switches and sensors
Porous Surfaces Cleaning
WARNING: Hazardous Voltage!
Disconnect all electrical power to the unit
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Use a vacuum device with a HEPA filter to remove accumulated dirt and organic matter
Confirm the drain line is open following the cleaning process
Allow the unit to dry thoroughly before putting it back into service
Replace all panels and parts and restore electrical power to the unit
Ensure no contaminated material contacts other areas of the unit or building
Properly dispose of all contaminated materials and cleaning solution
6 Monthly Fan Sections Inspection
Safety Precautions
Disconnect all electric power, including remote disconnects, before servicing.
Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures to ensure the power cannot be inadvertently energized.
Inspection and Cleaning
Inspect fan sections for evidence of microbial growth (mold).
Is there evidence of microbial growth?
If microbial growth is found, identify and remedy the cause immediately. Refer to 'Troubleshooting' on page 143 for possible causes and solutions.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Remove any contamination.
Signal Strength Testing
Initiate signal strength test by pressing the Test button on the sensor
Check signal strength indication on Models WZS
Observe LED1, LED2, and LED3 on the sensor for signal strength
Observe LED1, LED2, and LED3 on the receiver for signal strength
Check signal strength indication on Model WDS
Observe test symbols on the sensor display for signal strength
Observe LED1, LED2, and LED3 on the receiver for signal strength
6 Monthly Drain Pans Inspection
WARNING: Hazardous Chemicals!
Acknowledge understanding of safety precautions
Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn
Drain Pan and Drain Line Inspection
Is the condensate draining as designed?
Is there evidence of standing water or condensate overflow?
Drain Pan Cleaning Procedure
Disconnect all electrical power to the unit
Remove any standing water
