Disconnect all electric power, including remote disconnects

Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures

Fan Wheel Set Screws Inspection

Check the fan wheel set screws for proper adjustment

Refer to Table 44 for recommendations and note any adjustments made

Acknowledge understanding of safety precautions

Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Disconnect all electrical power to the unit

Drain Pan Inspection and Cleaning

Check for evidence of standing water or condensate overflow

Scrape solid matter off of the drain pan

Identify coil type based on model number

Ensure all coils in the coil section are identified for winterization

Winterization Procedure for Specific Coil Types

Select coil types for winterization

Remove the vent and drain plugs

Blow the coil out with compressed air

Fill and drain the coil several times with full strength glycol

Drain the coil out as completely as possible

Disconnect all electrical power to the unit

Follow lockout/tagout procedures

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Use a vacuum device with a HEPA filter to remove dirt and organic matter

Confirm the drain line is open following the cleaning process

Allow the unit to dry thoroughly before putting it back into service

Secure rotor to prevent freewheeling

Manually rotate the fan wheel to check for obstructions

Inspect coils for dirt build-up
