Adjust the torch holder assembly

Is additional torch clearance needed?

Rotate the torch holder assembly 180° for additional clearance

Tighten all clamping screws to secure the torch position

Unplug the power cord before performing any maintenance on the machine.

Short out the capacitor using an insulated screwdriver.

Ensure drive disks and cone are free of grease.

Clean drive disks and cone with a cloth dampened with a solvent that does not leave a residue.

Verify that ball bearings or special bushings require no greasing.

Remove the inner case from the outer case

Short out the capacitor by touching an insulated screwdriver to the capacitor terminals

Remove the rubber boot from the capacitor and disconnect the two red leads

Disconnect the motor wires leading to the switch

Remove the socket head cap screws that mount the motor plate to the inner case

Loosen the motor disk set screw and slide the disk away from the motor

Remove the motor and drive disk assembly from the inner case

Reverse this procedure for reassembly

Check that all parts are in place after reassembly

Unplug the power cord before performing any maintenance

Short out the capacitor using an insulated screwdriver

Redistribute the grease on the gear train

Redistribute the grease in the groove of the clutch dog

Remove the bottom cover from the machine

Short out the capacitor by touching an insulated screwdriver to the capacitor terminals

Remove the jam nut and pull the switch inside the case to remove

Verify replacement switch part number

Install the new switch by reversing the removal procedure

Reconnect the switch leads as disconnected in Step 4
