Change master cylinder and release cylinder fluid

Check clutch oil level in tank (trucks with optional oil clutch)

Change inline filter for torque converter

Is the engine cold before starting?

Start the engine and let it run at low rpm to warm it up

Park the truck on a level surface

Pull the parking brake to the full

Shut off the engine and remove the starter key

Remove the engine oil fill port cap

Measure the force required to operate the parking brake lever

Is the operating force within the standard range of 200 – 250 N (20 – 25 kgf) (40" – 50 lbf)?

Adjust the operating force of the lever using the adjustment bolt

Turn the adjustment bolt counterclockwise to reduce the force

Turn the adjustment bolt clockwise to increase the force

Adjust the cable after the day's work or each shift if necessary

Is the hydraulic oil contaminated?

Change hydraulic oil if contaminated

Check for loose linkage of the control valve lever

Check function of the control valve lever

Check for oil leaks in the control valve

Retighten cylinder head bolts (C240)

Check cylinder compression pressure

Check maximum speed under unloaded condition

Change fuel filter element (Gas powered)
