Preparation
Ensure the compressor is connected to a power supply
Verify that the compressor is not in automatic stand-by mode

Remove the pressure switch cover
Record the current air pressure reading
Is the compressor running?
Adjust the spring loaded adjustment screw
Record the new air pressure reading

Initial Checks
Check oil level in crankcase
Drain liquid from the air receiver and moisture trap
Startup Procedure
Turn on cooling water (watercooled units)
Jog the starter button and check compressor rotation
Prepare continuous run units for starting by adjusting the pilot valve
Start compressor per factory instructions

1 Daily Air Tank Draining
Preparation
Disconnect & lockout the compressor from the power source (electric models) or disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug (gas engine models).
Is the compressor stored in a heated area if subjected to freezing temperatures?
Pressure Reduction
Enter the current air pressure in the tank (PSIG).
Is the air pressure in the tank 30 PSIG or less?
Draining Process
Open the drain valve and allow the moisture and air mixture to drain from the tank.
Close the drain valve once the moisture has been completely drained.
