Is the compressed air clean and dry?

Enter the air pressure from the FRL unit air regulator pressure gage

Is the air pressure at 0.5 MPa (71.1 psi)?

Is the charge tank pressure at 0.2 MPa (28.44 psi)?

Enter the air supply volume in L/min (ANR)

Turn OFF the power supply before starting maintenance

Ensure the machine is not operating before replenishing oil

Check cleanliness of components

Inspect and clean the condenser regularly

Ensure condenser is not operated without the air filter

Mount the main arm to the arm shaft and fix the grippers

Fix the gripper (7) to the main arm (13) while adjusting the gripper position to the tool

Fix the other gripper to the main arm in the same manner

Adjust the tool and gripper height temporarily using the height adjusting nut (12)

Move the pot down and adjust the tool pot position

Refer to Section I of the MV-45/55/65 OPERATION MANUAL, "ATC MAINTENANCE"

Mount a tool in the pot and press the main arm to the tool by hand to fit it onto the tool

Adjust the tool pot position so that the tool will correctly fit in the gripper without an uneven gap

Store the lubricating oil away from rain and direct sunlight.

Ensure no contact with dirt and water during storage.

Confirm that no degraded oils or oils mixed with foreign matter are used.

Oil Jugs and Intermediate Tanks

Ensure different oil jugs are used for different lubricating oils and coolant.

Inspect and clean the intermediate tank for dirt and water accumulation periodically.

Clean the inside of the slideway lubrication unit tank and replace the filter at least once a year.

Caution: Follow the cautions when starting spindle rotation and cleaning the spindle.

Break in the spindle at low speed (300 min⁻¹) for 30 minutes.

Break in the spindle at high speed (1000 min⁻¹) for 30 minutes.

Use soft rags to wipe off coolant, dust, and other foreign matter from the spindle.

Ensure not to use compressed air for cleaning the spindle.

Check that the spindle tapered hole is clean and free of foreign matter.

Monitor the spindle for abnormal temperature rise or noise during operation.

Contact Mori Seiki if abnormal temperature or noise is detected.
