1 Monthly Machine Inspection
1. Headstock:
- Remove any chips from the coolant collector.
2. Coolant unit:
- Check the degree of dirtiness of the coolant and if necessary, replace.
3. Electrical control cabinet:
- Check the electrical components for dirt and discoloration and check for loose terminal screws.
1 Yearly Machine Inspection
1. Slideway and covers:
- Check the wipers for abnormalities such as damage.
2. Lubrication unit:
- Clean the suction filters.
- Clean the oiling filters
- Check for oil leakage and for damaged piping.
3. Foundation:
- Check and adjust the bed level using a level.
4. Grounding resistance:
Tool Eye Maintenance
Checking the TOOL EYE for extending/retracting
TOOL EYE extending: Address X9 (bit 9 of X0000)
TOOL EYE retracting: Address XA (bit A of X0000)
Replacement of the TOOL EYE sensor
Press the TOOL SET MEASURE menu key to extend the TOOL EYE arm to the measuring position
Remove the four bolts
Pull the joint section from the arm body, and pull that section away by slightly rotating it
Remove the bolts and then the TOOL EYE sensor
Mount the new TOOL EYE sensor and fix it in place following the above steps in the reverse order
Air Filter Cleaning
Warning: Chips, dust, and foreign matter inside the electrical control cabinet will cause problems. Always keep the electrical control cabinet clean. Do not use air gun to clean.
Caution: Put the filter in place after it has dried naturally.
Tool to be used
Remove the bolts
Take out the filter
Wash it with water
Sign off on the air filter cleaning

Check for secure mounting of the top jaws
Check for smooth chucking/unchucking
Tailstock
Check the tailstock spindle for chips
