Remove the ignition and flame sense electrodes from the boiler heat exchanger access cover.

Remove any deposits accumulated on the ignition/flame sense electrode using sandpaper.

Were the electrodes cleaned satisfactorily?

Replace electrodes if they cannot be cleaned satisfactorily.

Turn off power to the boiler before any service operation.

Ensure the relief valve discharge is piped to a safe area.

Inspect the relief valve and lift the lever to verify flow.

Is the discharge line connected to direct flow to a proper disposal area?

Did water flow when the valve lever was operated?

If no water flows, is the valve inoperative?

Turn off power to the boiler before starting any service operation.

Ensure all safety warnings are understood and followed.

Flue Gas Venting System Inspection

Visually inspect the entire flue gas venting system for blockage, deterioration, or leakage.

Repair any joints that show signs of leakage.

Is the air inlet pipe connected and properly sealed?

Boiler Vent Discharge and Air Intake Verification

Verify that boiler vent discharge is clean and free of obstructions.

Ensure power to the boiler is turned off

Verify that you have read and understood the service and maintenance procedures

Check pressure/temperature gauge

Enter the current pressure reading from the gauge

Enter the current temperature reading from the gauge

Condensate Trap Inspection and Cleaning

Inspect the condensate drain line, PVC fittings, and condensate trap

Remove the bottom cap of the condensate trap and clean out any sediment

Check for the presence of the ball in the condensate trap to ensure it acts as a seal against flue gases

Ensure the condensate trap is installed and draining properly after cleaning
