Turn the main power on to the boiler by placing the 'On/Off' switch in the ON position.

Enter the installer password after navigating to the Setup Screen.

Ensure all service and maintenance procedures are followed as per the manual.

Verify that the boiler is inspected annually by a qualified service technician.

Test the boiler water quality as per the Knight XL Installation and Operation Manual.

Does the test indicate the need for cleaning the system water?

Remove nuts securing the heat exchanger access cover

Remove the heat exchanger access cover, burner, and gas/air arm assembly

Inspect all water and gas piping for leaks

Describe any signs of leaking lines and corrective actions taken

Check gas line using the procedure found in Section 8 - Gas Connections
