Enter the manifold gas pressure

Refer to 'Pilot Burner' procedure under 'Preventive Maintenance' for detailed steps

Is there any accumulation of lint or foreign material blocking air openings?

Check that burner venturi and ports are free of foreign matter

Clean burners with bristle brush and/or vacuum cleaner

Reinstall burners in unit ensuring correct installation in support brackets

Verify damper disc position during operation

Does the water heater operate correctly in AUTOMATIC OPERATION position?

Does the water heater operate correctly in HOLD OPEN DAMPER position?

Refer to EFFIKAL RVGP-FSF-SERIES TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE if needed

Refer to Troubleshooting Sections and Operational Checklist if needed

Close cold water inlet valve serving heater

Open nearby hot water faucet to relieve pressure in the heater

Check the condition of the anode rods

Is the 1/8” (3mm) diameter core wire visible on any anode rod?

Replace anode rods if the core wire is visible

Obtain two new nipple collars, part no. 74060, if necessary

Shut off gas supply to the heater

Remove outer cover plate from lower side of heater jacket

Remove six hex head screws securing tank cleanout plate

Remove lime, scale, or sediment carefully to avoid damaging glass lining
