DVJ Blowers — Coating
Verify the following conditions for DVJ Blowers
Are there any visible abraded areas and scratches on the coated surfaces after running?
Ensure no attempt is made to measure clearances involving coated surfaces
Ensure clearance settings are made accurately only with uncoated parts
Was the cleaning of coated surfaces done using a clean, dry rag only?
Was any solvent or cleaner used on the coated surfaces?
5 Weekly Drive End Bearing Lubrication
Lubrication — For Units with grease lubricated drive end
Verify the following conditions
Use specified NLGI #2 premium grade aluminium complex grease, Roots P/N T20019002
Ensure no lithium based grease is used
Technical supplement for URAI-G Gas blowers — Lubrication
Check hydraulic pressure relief fittings for proper venting
Inspect restriction plug and metering orifice for proper function
Slowly force new lubricant into each drive end bearing housing until clean grease appears at relief fitting
Avoid using electric or pneumatic grease gun
Inlet Protective Screen Cleaning
Installation — Piping
Install a substantial screen of 16 mesh backed with hardware cloth at or near inlet connections
Make provisions to clean the screen of collected debris after a few hours of operation
Remove the screen when its usefulness has ended to prevent wire deterioration and potential damage
Stop the blower at the first opportunity to clean the temporary inlet protective screen
Check for debris collection on the screen
If no appreciable amount of debris has collected, remove the screen
1 Weekly Oil Level Check
Operation
Check the oil level in the oil sumps
Is the oil level within the acceptable range?
Replenish oil if necessary
Check for oil leaks
Is the blower operating in a very dusty location?
