Verify all conditions remain steady or acceptable

Check lubricant levels in gearbox and bearing reservoirs weekly

Follow manufacturer's instructions for driver lubrication practices

Check and grease coupling if direct connected to the blower

Check belt tension and inspect for frayed or cracked belts in a belted drive system

Observe oil levels at reasonable intervals during final run

Shut down immediately if excessive noise or local heating develops

Shut down and investigate if pressure or temperature rise exceeds specified limits

Lubrication — How to properly determine the oil service intervals

Determine the oil service interval based on conditions

Select the applicable ambient and discharge temperature range

Ensure the specified and recommended oil is Roots synthetic oil of correct viscosity

Remove the breather plug (25) and the oil overflow plug (21)

Fill the reservoir up to the overflow hole

Ensure the reservoir is not overfilled

Place the breather and the overflow plug back into their respective holes

Measure vibration at bearing locations

Is all pass vibration 0.45 in/sec-pk or less?

Is all pass vibration greater than 0.45 but 1.0 or less AND discrete frequency 0.45 or less at any frequency?

Is all pass vibration greater than 0.45 but 1.0 or less AND discrete frequency greater than 0.45 at any frequency?

Is all pass vibration greater than 1.0 AND discrete frequency less than 1.0?

Is all pass vibration greater than 1.0 AND discrete frequency greater than 1.0?

Remove mounting strains by loosening blower mounting bolts

Reset the leveling and drive alignment

Ensure all piping meets blower connections accurately and squarely

Disconnect the piping to clean the blower interior thoroughly

Check the condition of the oil seals

Wipe off periodically leaked oil from surfaces

Is the minor seal weepage within acceptable limits?

Are the piston ring seals operating without rubbing contact after stabilization?

Inspect the stationary rings for rubbing against the rotating sleeve during temperature cycles

Are the piston ring seals excessively worn?

Replace piston ring seals if excessively worn
