Verify applicable conditions for lubrication

Use specified NLGI #2 premium grade aluminium complex grease, Roots P/N T20019002

Ensure no lithium based grease is used

Ensure hydraulic pressure relief fittings are in place to vent excess grease

Check restriction plug and metering orifice for proper function

Slowly force new lubricant into each drive end bearing housing until traces of clean grease come out of the relief fitting

Slowly force new lubricant into each drive end bearing housing until traces of clean grease come out of the relief fitting

DVJ Blowers — Cleaning, Coating & Curing Procedures

Check that all necessary preparations are complete

Apply cleaner with a clean, soaked rag to new uncoated surfaces

Allow cleaner to set for 1 to 2 minutes

Wipe off cleaner with a clean, dry rag

Shake coating can until the ball rattles freely, then continue shaking for at least 5 more minutes

Maintain spray distance of 8" to 12" from surface

Apply each layer of coating evenly

Lubrication — How to properly determine the oil service intervals

Record the ambient temperature surrounding the blower and drive

Record the discharge air temperature of the blower

Calculate the estimated oil temperature by multiplying the discharge temperature by 0.80

Is the estimated oil temperature 180°F (82°C) or less?

Select the ISO Viscosity Grade based on conditions

Remove the breather plug (25) and the oil overflow plug (21)

Fill the reservoir up to the overflow hole
