Inspect and ensure all components are secure

Adjust and tighten components as necessary

Loosen the setscrew holding the bushing and shaft key in place

Loosen the socket head cap screws fastening the bushing to the hub

Remove the socket head cap screws fastening the bushing to the hub

Install the socket head cap screws into the visibly threaded holes

Disconnect and secure to the 'off' position all electrical power to the fan.

Ensure the unit is made non-functional by removing fuses and locking off the disconnect.

Ensure power is turned off to the fan.

Remove hood to gain access to motor compartment by pushing in two adjacent snap buttons and lifting.

Disconnect motor wiring and controls wiring (if present).

Remove the screws securing the powerpack in place.

Carefully lift out the powerpack while keeping the powerpack assembly centered to the housing.

Inspect fans for moisture or dirt accumulations

Record inspection and maintenance performed

Was the source of moisture or dirt located and eliminated?

Rotate the wheel by hand ten to fifteen revolutions to distribute lubricant in motor

Is there any paint deterioration?

Do machined parts show signs of rust?

Remove original rust preventive coating with petroleum solvent and clean with lint-free cloths

Inspect belt alignment and tension (Belt drive unit only)

Adjust and tighten belt as necessary
