Record inspection and maintenance performed

Check for moisture or dirt accumulations on parts

Describe the source of moisture or dirt if found

Conduct initial inspection of the fan after 30 minutes of operation

Inspect belt alignment and tension on BSQ-M unit only

Adjust and tighten belt as necessary

Adjust (tighten) belt tension after the first 24-48 hours of operation

Disconnect, lock, and tag power source before servicing

Ensure unit is non-functional before cleaning the wheel or housing

Clean exterior surfaces of the motor

Are grease fittings provided on the motor?

Is the motor temperature below 104ºF (40ºC)?

Replace grease if motor has fittings and temperature is below 104ºF (40ºC)

Inspect and ensure all components are secure

Adjust and tighten components as necessary

Ensure the unit is equipped with special bearings for hot, humid, or dirty locations.

Verify the availability of high-grade lithium base grease conforming to NLGI Grade 2.

Pump grease in very slowly until a slight bead forms around the seal.

Ensure no overpacking or contamination occurs during lubrication.

Identify environmental conditions that may require more frequent lubrication
