1 Yearly Bearing Lubrication
Preparation
Ensure the fan is in operation before starting lubrication
Wipe grease fittings clean to prevent contamination
Lubrication Process
Identify the type of bearings
Are the bearings equipped with external grease fittings?
Enter the number of lubricant shots applied (1 or 2 recommended)
Enter the hand gun pressure used (maximum 40 psi)
Rotate bearings during lubrication if safe to do so

Select the type of service environment
Lubrication Process
Ensure the use of a good quality lithium base grease, conforming to NLGI Grade 2 consistency
Apply grease to the bearing
Is the lubrication process completed successfully?

Describe any issues encountered during lubrication
Equipment Check
Safety Precautions
Disconnect and secure all electrical power to the fan.
Fasteners and Wheel Check
Check all fasteners and setscrews for tightness.
Ensure the wheel rotates freely and is aligned.
Wheel Position Adjustment
Is the wheel position correct as per factory settings?
For CWB model, loosen bolts and reposition drive frame if necessary.
Adjust wheel and inlet cone overlap if necessary.
Motor Amperage and Voltage Check
Pre-Check Guidelines
Ensure motor amperage and voltage ratings are checked for compatibility to supply voltage
Route electrical supply through conduit chase between mounting plate and motor compartment
Ensure wiring conforms to local and national codes
Handling Precautions
Confirm fan is not lifted by the fan hood
Ensure fans are not lifted in a way that bends or distorts fan parts
Verify slings or timbers are not passed through the venturi of fan
Protect fans with special coatings or paints during handling to prevent damage

Belt Inspection
Check belts for wear and tightness
Are matched belts used on multi-groove pulleys?
Belt Replacement
Loosen the tensioning device to remove the belt by hand
Ensure belts are not forced on or off during replacement
Post-Installation Adjustment
Adjust belts as per 'Pre-Starting Checks' guidelines
