Ensure the fan is in operation before starting lubrication

Wipe grease fittings clean to prevent contamination

Is the bearing a cast pillow block bearing?

Use a hand gun with a maximum rating of 40 psi for lubrication

Apply one or two shots of lubricant

Rotate bearings during lubrication if safe to do so

Disconnect all electrical power to the fan and secure to the 'off' position.

Ensure the unit is made non-functional by removing fuses and locking off the disconnect.

Inspect the wheel and housing for oil and dust accumulation.

Clean the wheel evenly to prevent imbalance and vibration.

Clean the housing to ensure smooth operation.

Is the wheel free from oil and dust after cleaning?

Loosen the setscrew holding the bushing and shaft key in place, if present.

Loosen and remove the socket head cap screws fastening the bushing to the hub.

Select the mounting type for socket head cap screws installation

Tighten the socket head cap screws an eighth of a turn at a time, alternating until the hub comes loose from the bushing.

Clean all surfaces of hub and bushing to remove any oil or residue.

Select the mounting style and perform the corresponding steps

Install the two bushing socket head cap screws into the aligned holes by hand until seated.

Inspection and Maintenance Record

Record inspection and maintenance performed

Check for moisture or dirt accumulations on parts

Describe the source of moisture or dirt if found

Disconnect and secure all electrical power to the fan

Ensure the unit is non-functional

Check if motor has grease fittings

Replace grease in motors with fittings

Verify motor temperature does not exceed 104ºF (40ºC)

Check all fasteners for tightness
