Disconnect and secure all electrical power to the fan

Ensure the unit is non-functional (fuses removed, disconnect locked off)

Are you a qualified personnel familiar with local codes and regulations?

Are grease fittings provided on the motor?

Record motor temperature (should not exceed 104ºF or 40ºC)

Is the motor temperature within the acceptable range?

Inspect and adjust as necessary

Adjust belt tension after the first 24-48 hours of operation

Check for moisture or dirt accumulations on parts

Describe the source of moisture or dirt if found

Disconnect all electrical power to the fan and secure to the 'off' position.

Remove dust buildup on motor housing to ensure proper cooling.

Is the wheel cleaned evenly to prevent out of balance condition?

Is the motor functioning properly after cleaning?

Select the type of service environment

Ensure the use of a good quality lithium base grease, conforming to NLGI Grade 2 consistency

Is the lubrication process complete?

Check for any unusual noise or vibration after lubrication
